To invoke Suspend / Hibernate function was during history of KDE4 evolution unstable. Feature was / was not working different after each new release was launched. 

I would like to have it integrated finally and allow this functionally be modifiable in systemsettings in same tab where you can se commands for shutdown. Would be good to be able to specify command for hibernation and allow / deny buttons are visible when leaving session.

Mainly this should be finally integrated with no more surprises at next release.

Probably, solid is a more appropriate product.

I really wonder how to deal with such a report which is basically 'please make in nice' IMO... In any case reassignin to powerdevil kcm component as it seems the complain is mostly about some UI.

My description was "please make integration working" - not "make it nice" and I gave some suggestions how to approach it.

launched." does not seem to me a suggestion. Powerdevil got integrated into KDE 4.2, before there was no integration or anything, so it's probably a problem with your distro. PowerDevil never changed its way of working and the KCM has been always the same (Power Management), so I can't really see what's the problem behind this

ok, so it  looks there must be something else on my side. invoking suspend/hibernate from menu does nothing even powerdevil 4.2.2, KCMinit, KCMshell is merged.

would like to ask kindly for advise here, what should be doublecheck? After I revieved my installation I am not aware of any problem on my side.

one week no response to my original post? if i found a problem i think it should be in interest of poverdevil team to help to find a solution. I am not correct?

hibernate does not work in my case either see also bug 155261.

However /usr/sbin/hibernate-ram scripts work as expected.

Solved by merging pm-utils. pm-utils should be as dependency of power devil for future than.

BTW. I am surprised about this case handling. Why this solution has not been suggested by Dario Freddi in April?? Anyway.

Because I have no magic stick, and I can't solve problems if you say "oh it doesn't work" and not provide details. pm-utils is what makes suspension work, and this is not related to KDE, but to your distro again.
