Sentry Crash Report:

Description Jake 2009-04-28 23:00:51 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

Context: It is possible to play rmvb files after installing win32codes from Medibuntu on Ubuntu 9.04. However, when attempting to play these files, the audio plays correctly, but the video starts later in the stream and skips around without an identifiable pattern.

Steps to reproduce:
Install win32codecs from the Medibuntu repositories. Attempt to play *.rmvb file.

Expected behaviour:
File should play correctly with audio and video in sync.

Actual Behaviour:
Video begins later in the stream and skips around without an identifiable patter.

Other information:
This does not occur in mplayer-based media players. This does occur in Kaffeine as well.

Do you have this problem in other Xine-based players (like GXine or xine-ui)?
