Description Dotan Cohen 2009-04-27 00:49:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Lancelot include almost everything one needs for getting a hold of his computer quickly. One hoel that I feel is missing is a simple file browser, such as the Quick Access plasmiod. Please add an additional tab to Lancelot that functions as the Quick Access plasmoid. Thanks.

One additional thought: all the current Lancelot tabs have two related columns. The second column of the tab in this feature request could be bookmarks, similar to the Application tab's Favorites.

First of all, you should use http://forum.kde.org/lancelot-brainstorming-t-15049.html for feature requests.

As for the idea, I don't think it will be done anytime soon, if it will be at all. I have plans to make the layout customizable so that new cards could be added by the user, but that will not be done before KDE 4.5 (probably).

I will try to remember that, but as it differs from the rest of KDE don't be mad at me if I forget!

Whenever you get around to it is fine. I can keep the current Quick Access tab enabled in the meantime.

Thanks.

Not mad at all :) It is now a general idea to move the feature requests / brainstorming to the Forum since Bugzilla is not really made for that.

The difference between Lancelot brainstorm and 'other-kde' Brainstorm is that L's is in one thread and not one idea per thread (L's Brainstorm thread was made before KDE's Brainstorm)
