Version:           3.1.4 (using 4.1.4 (KDE 4.1.4), Kubuntu packages)

Currently kate supports split view and opening of multiple files in different windows, but can open only one terminal. It would be very nice if it could open multiple terminals, or if the terminal would have multiple tabs. Really useful for programming.
