Version:           1.10.1 (using 4.1.4 (KDE 4.1.4), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-7-generic

Every time I manually check for new emails pressing Check mail I get an error message:

Error - KMail. Unknown host : unknown error.

However KMail does check for mails, and there seem to be  no error, exept for the error message itself...

Could be very related to bug #181966.
In any case, please update to any 4.2.x to get a kmail with a lot of fixes.

Changing the bug status until we get some feedback about this issue (with KMail from KDE > 4.2)

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
