The "Manage Printing" option seems to be a shortcut to the CUPS configuration page. ("http://localhost:631" IIRC). I don't know if FreeBSD handles printing differently than Linux
Also, what do you mean with "you cannot print". Is there a error message? Does the dialog appear but no more happens? Do you have configured printers? How ?
Firefox printing works because it is a GTK application and It manages printers different than KDE applications.
Thanks
Thanks a lot. Recently I installed the ports: foomatic-filters and hpijs. Now I can print from any KDE application. However, I still cannot print from adobe reader 9. I guess you still need to configure / install something else. You can try asking in forums (may be some FreeBSD one) for this. Marking as WORKSFORME Thanks Thanks. I will try. ~ |
