Sound like a similar report done recently in this room about Exiv2 0.18.0. I recommend to update Exiv2 library to last stable 0.18.1. libkexiv2, digiKam and kipi-plugins must be recompiled. Look in digiKam Help/Components Info menu to see which Exiv2 library you use. Gilles Caulier Hi, I don't know how I can do that. With the kipi-plugins and digikam, I read from the INSTALL file that build instructions can be found at http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4 However, I don't get along with this site: I just cannot find there how you can just configure, compile, and install a package. Do you know a place where this is described in a better way. Back to the topic: You are right, I am indeed using version 0.18 of exiv2, according to the digikam menu. Best, Holger *** Bug 190045 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 189993 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 190034 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Holger, you can try this package here to update to exiv2-0.18.1: https://launchpad.net/~lure/+archive/ppa If this solves the problem, please give us an update here. Andi Holger, What's news about this entry. It still valid ? Gilles Caulier Holger, digiKam 1.0.0-beta1 is out. Please test with this version. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier I reported Bug #190045, which has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. The bug has been solved for me after updateing to exiv 0.18 Thanks Benedikt to report. I close this file now. Gilles Caulier |
