trying to install update of ubuntu 8.1.  recieved message of full Could not initialize the package information

A unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Dynamic MMap ran out of room, E:Error occurred while processing tuxmath (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_hardy_main_binary-amd64_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'  i tried (although not understanding it) sudo apt-get install , sudo apt-get setup sudo dpkg/var/lib/lock and sudo -configure-a.  I learned absolutely nothing and failed to resolve my problem.

This is an ubuntu bug, it has nothing to do with klipper itself, please report this to Ubuntu, not here.
