Added info if needed: Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) Konsole: 2.2.2 *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** I use qdbus org.kde.konsole $KONSOLE_DBUS_SESSION org.kde.konsole.Session.setTitle 1 MyName command in my script to set the tab name. But it has the same problem as manual setting. Qt: 4.5.2 KDE: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2) Konsole: 2.3.2 PS: Seems to me the original bug (reported by Darren) was corrected, as I see. Thank you very much. Please correct dbus name setting. KDE 4.3.3 (upgraded from openSuSE 11.1) Konsole: 2.3.3 I still have that buggy behaviour, when the tabs are renamed manually as well as by means of dbus. Same behavior seen on Fedora 11, KDE 4.4.3, Qt 4.6.2, Konsole 2.4.3. This issue should be merged into bug 183963 as they describe the same regression from KDE3. Automatically renaming manually-named tabs to useless names like "Shell" kills productivity especially when many tabs are open at the same time. This has been fixed in recent versions. |
