Is it possible in konqueror? Moving tabs has already been implemented and will be available with KDE 4.3 :-) @FiNeX: Konqueror has it's own tab-implementation and I'm not sure whether moving tabs has been enabled there already (I'm currently not and home and cannot test it). However enabling moving of tabs is very straight forward with Qt 4.5. I've closed this issue as it is directly assigned to Dolphin and solved. Right, it is possible in Konqueror too. On Konqueror moving tabs is possible only with a menu action (or a keyboard shortcut). Instead in Dolphin the action can be performed with drag 'n drop :-) Shouldn't both software works on the same way? The UI should be a bit more coherent... Should I ask to the usability team about this issue? @FiNeX: I think moving tabs should behave consistent between all KDE applications. At least for Dolphin and Konqueror I see no need that the behavior is different. But the root cause here (I guess) is that moving of tabs is only support in Qt since Qt 4.5 and not all applications (and in this case Konqueror) have been ported yet. I personally see no need to add menu entries for moving tabs when it can be done by drag and drop. Asking the usability team (if you mean e. g. Celeste) would for sure be useful and the results should be written down in the HIG. If you plan to post this question to usability@kde.org a high noise rate must be expected: Everybody who is able to spell "usability" gives input there, but sometimes the (lengthy) discussions still contain useful input. |
