This a intentional, the reasoning being that there aren't that many use-cases where this is really required and a horde of people using short intervals would cause unnecessary pain for site admins. I can't think of a single use case, actually. I have own application and have exported rss feed to notify about events. I want to akregator to report about this event every 5 seconds. There will be no more than few users for this application, therefore there is no need restrict akregator. I understand that short intervals isn't good for sites. If akregator development team doesn't agree with me, then I have to with every version of agregator to modify sources or found another rss application or write own. correction: want akregator to check new event every 5 seconds. |
