Description ondrej.riha 2009-04-14 23:05:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

In akregator there is no option how to fetch news under one minute(for example every 30 seconds).
Comment 1 Teemu Rytilahti 2009-05-24 02:51:16 UTC
This a intentional, the reasoning being that there aren't that many use-cases where this is really required and a horde of people using short intervals would cause unnecessary pain for site admins.
Comment 2 Frank Osterfeld 2009-05-24 18:01:40 UTC
I can't think of a single use case, actually.
Comment 3 ondrej.riha 2009-05-26 05:08:47 UTC
I have own application and have exported rss feed to notify about events. I want to akregator to report about this event every 5 seconds. There will be no more than few users for this application, therefore there is no need restrict akregator. I understand that short intervals isn't good for sites. If akregator development team doesn't agree with me, then I have to with every version of agregator to modify sources or found another rss application or write own.

correction: want akregator to check new event every 5 seconds.
