Add option to turn off automated reading of xstatus from contacts in my contact list. They tell me that this cause notification popups in their icq clients about status reading every 5-10 minutes and this is very annoying.

Seems to me somewhat related to Bug 129501.

Yes, it looks similar but for xstatus. Maybe it can be realised in similar way, i don't know.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
