Description Michael Skiba 2009-04-11 03:02:24 UTC
Version:           0.11.0-svn (rev.: 950468M) (using 4.2.69 (KDE 4.2.69 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090406)) "release 1.3", KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.20-0.1-pae

I've some NEF files here and the preview looks different than when I open the image in the image editor. I don't know if this is intended, but since the "preview" also looks different in 100% view or more it means I could as well use the preview, couldn't I? (looks to me as if the preview has already undergone some sort of whitebalance and brightness settings ...)

Example picture: http://img50.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tones.png
Left preview picture, right one in the editor.

this file is invalid.

Raw preview use by default the preprocessed JPEG file embedded in RAW file, for speed-up purpose. It's not RAW image !

If you want the same rendering, go to setup/album-view and set on option "embedded preview use full sized image".

I thought such a thing already. Is it possible to extract this JPEG somehow? (or apply the same filters to the original image?)
