Sentry Crash Report:

Description Christoph Kaulich 2009-04-09 09:02:26 UTC
Version: 1.11.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Typing an email with mistakes doesn't highlite anything, when 'Systems Settings -> Regional & Language -> Languages' is switched to German, works when Language is switched to US English
Comment 1 Kevin Kofler 2009-04-09 09:14:33 UTC
The subject line and the downstream bug report say KMail, so reassigning.
Comment 2 Skaldrom Y. Sarg 2009-05-08 13:29:32 UTC
I can confirm this behavior. If a Mail is composed, it says "Rechtschreibeprüfung: ein" in the statusbar, but nothing is underlined in the message itself.

Additionally, the spellcheck from the Menu does not work as long as the automatic spellcheck is active. If disabled, I can activate this manual check without problems.

I am Using Kubuntu 9.10 Jaunty with kmail 1.11.2:

Package: kmail
Installed-Size: 10308
Maintainer: Kubuntu Developers <kubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com>
Architecture: amd64
Source: kdepim
Version: 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu1
Comment 3 Christoph Kaulich 2009-06-25 10:04:19 UTC
Seems to be fixed in 4.3 beta 2 (Kmail 1.11.90)
