Kopete previously used to allow reordering of the tabs when chats are grouped together. This is useful for logical groupings etc. A similar example is how konsole allows moving the location of a tab relative to the other tabs.

A shortcut key should also be provided (eg ctrl-shift left/right, which is what konsole uses)

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
