If i am connected to a Jabber chat group, then shutting down or logging out of a KDE4 session gets blocked by a confirmation window. The popup asks "Are you sure you want to leave this jabber chat room...".

This is normally okay when quitting the application, but should be suppressed when the session is shutting down.

It has happened a number of times that I logout of KDE and come back a few hours later to find that kopete is still waiting for user input.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
