I can confirm this behaviour. The composer windows remains open after closing kmail (incl. quitting the kmail tasktray icon). I wrote an email and then saved it as draft in the single composer windows. This worked. My guess is that it's intended to work like this. I can even send email just from the composing window. It seems that is intended behaviour. Also I was unable to run Kontact, open a composing window and then close Kontact without having the composing window being closed also. That's an inconsistency in behavious. This is not a bug. The composer window is a separate process (otherwise, clicking on a mailto: link would launch KMail instead of a composer window) |
