I think it applies the formatting of the last word to all the KTextEdit content. in my test the last word had green color and italic style, after cancelling that dialog, this format was applied to the whole text. it also removes images inserted inside the document, but keeps them if they are the last item in it. and, for lists, it removes list marks from the begining of list items.
