Sentry Crash Report:

Description David Menday 2009-04-02 12:05:19 UTC
Version: 1.11.1 (using KDE 4.2.1)
Compiler: gcc 4.1.2 Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

A rare occurance when moving a message from a folder to another, I get a message about "Move cancelled" for a short while in the status bar. The message is gone from the current catalog and not present in the new location.

IMAP to a courier imap ssl server.

Stopping and starting kmail after the kio imap processes are gone and I can move messages again (without them going missing).

Version 1.11.2
OS: Linux
Compiler: CC
Installed from: Debian packages

I can confirm I have just lost two emails myself moving them from my spam folder to my inbox. I receive the moving message and then it changes to cancelled. Most of the time my email will move but twice in the last hour I have lost them.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
