Can't reproduce here - I use Ctrl+W all the time for moving around window sections in Vim. Ctrl+Shift+W is used by Konsole as the default close tab shortcut. Do you have any shortcuts re-bound to Ctrl+W? I do not have any shortcuts rebound to ^W, and have verified that this occurs when `kde4-config --localprefix`/share/apps/konsole and `kde4-config --localprefix`/share/config/konsolerc are both moved out of the way. I have also reproduced this bug with brand-new, perfectly clean account, so it does not appear to involve my preferences. I confirm i have to problem. It started when i switched to trunk with a new .kde. r965482. Ctrl-W is eaten by an inadequate mapping in khotkeys.
