Hi,

KMail hangs while I write a new email. I noticed that it happens if I select the text by holding Shift + Ctrl and then moving the cursor with the left/right arrows. 

You should be able to reproduce it easily. Just type one line of text and then do couple of times the above combination. 

It seems to me like an issue with the spelling checking system.

Let me know if you need any logs.

I hope there is an easy workaround for this problem.

When the spelling is disabled the problem does not appear.

I can't reproduce with a recent KMail, the selection works as expected.

Can you retry with KDE 4.2.3 or > 4.3 beta1 ?

Cannot reproduce on KDE 4.3.5
