Description Peter Szabados 2009-03-30 11:45:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I have a laptop with an 1024x768 monitor, and also my video card says that it supports 1024x768 at maximum. So even if I connect an external monitor with a higher resolution, I can only use 1024x768, both in Windows and in KDE. However, in GNOME, I can set it to higher resolutions, and it works finely. (Also, in Windows there is a registry trick to allow other resolutions). A similar feature for KDE would be useful.

Thanks for reporting your bug.

Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards.

I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen.

Thanks
