Version:           n 0.99.01 (using KDE 4.2.1)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

I have news.eclipse.org groups. There are some groups like emf, swt, platform where there are 40K 80K articals. navigating to a group like this takes a long time and freezes knode meanwhile. after about half a minute it becomes responsive again. 

So my guess s knode does not scale well as the number of articals increase...

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
