Writing tags to files doesn't update modification timestamps of image files.

In case this is supposed to be a feature I can only say it's quite detrimental to backups and the bug is that there's no option to turn it off.

It's already fixed with current code of libkexiv2 from trunk (KDE 4.3) and digiKam 0.11. A new option in Metadata setup panel can be set to change this behaviours.

Note : this settings is shared too with all kipi-plugins. You need to use libkipi from trunk too.
