Quite a few of the webcams that come with notebooks are mounted upside down. For example, this is the case with my Asus n20a. Obviously, the issue is worked around in the windows drivers, but not so in the linux uvcvideo driver [1]. It would be very useful if kopete, in addition to the horizontal flip option, would provide an option to flip the image vertically.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
