Description Mathias D 2009-03-22 15:19:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If I try to change path of personal folder in system settings/personal information/path (or similar, because my systemlanguage is german), and change documents folder for example I can apply but when I reboot or logout, the settings are once more default. I send that bug alrady to launchpad, but they said I should send it to here. Thank you.

The same for me on Ubuntu Jaunty, KDE 4.3.0 installed from backport PPA.
Just have purged kde-default-settings package, will check result in 10 minutes.

It didn't help.
Comment 3 awishformore 2009-11-01 14:35:21 UTC
Same here (Kubuntu 9.10).

Any work-around available?

Oh, on a side note, if I change the way passwords should be displayed at login (1 or 3 bullets, or nothing), it does remember the change in the menu, but it will stay with default behaviour at login screen - I guess it could be related?

After installing kubuntu-desktop on top of ordinary Ubuntu 9.10 (for 9.04 works ok too) I've noticed that change of paths in ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs works!

What is the status of this bug? Comment #5 seems to indicate it is fixed.
Comment 7 David Edmundson 2015-04-17 16:30:47 UTC
No reply in two years.. I'm going to assume fixed.
