Is this about selecting many files or deleting directories which contains many files? I improved performance of both. Deleting many files directly: bug 43356 (but you're running the code with the fix already in 4.2) Deleting directories that contain many files (or subdirs) : bug 174144 (http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3897). But this fix isn't in 4.2.x, only in the future-4.3 branch. dup of bug 179348 ? Looks like this is still an open issue on 4.12.3 Today we have deleted a large folder with Dolphin. After 3-4 seconds, as no feedback has been given, we tried again. The folder got actually deleted after another 1-2s, and then we finally got a popup notification confirming that the operation has completed... Maybe if the folder deletion has to actually take so long for whatever reason (remote mounts, etc), some visual feedback of this would help (e.g.: folder icon in some special colour, strikethrough font for the folder name, or something) Is this still relevant or applicable with KDE Frameworks 5.45?
