Description Trenton D. Adams 2009-03-13 08:15:05 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I would like to see an auto monitor feature that turns on auto monitoring when leaving a konsole session, and off when entering a konsole session. The feature should be configurable to be on/off by default. That way, if a person desires, they can turn it on for only one konsole session, or all of them.

Given that you have code to do the monitoring already, it should be relatively easy to change the GUI to support this, wouldn't it?

Boy, would I love to see this feature. I am in the process of setting up my notebook with Gentoo Linux, and I am copying documents over from various disparate locations. It sure would be nice to get a notification when all of the konsole sessions are finished what they were supposed to be doing.

Do you mean that monitoring should be active (when turned on) only when window/tab does not have focus which was raised in bug #257752 ("Monitor for Activity option triggers notification regardless of window focus")?
