Version:            (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

Steps to reproduce:

- Desktop Settings Activity Type is the Folder View
- Folder View Location is the Desktop folder

- Set the icons in a custom way. Other icons on the right, others on the left, others in the center
- Logout
- Login

Now the icons position is reset and they are gathered all together on the left.

The same behavior you can see under openSUSE 11.1.

In KDE 4.1.1 there was the same bug.
In KDE 4.1.3 the bug was fixed and all works fine.

After updating to KDE 4.2.0 and to Qt 4.4.5 the bug returns till yet.

Same here in KDE 4.2.1 compiled from Gentoo ebuilds.

I can also confirm same behaviour (4.2.1 on Gentoo).

Hm, I've upgraded to 4.2.2 (using qt r948357) and it's apparently fixed. Should I change the status of this bug to resolved ?
