still in 4.6.4 Is this still valid in Konqueror 4.8.4 or later? Still in 4.9beta1. Actually the same is true in dolphin, so I think this is a point for the dolphin filesystem view part. Changing to dolphin Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 I consider this more a wish than a bug. Moreover, we can't do much about this in Dolphin itself. KNewFileMenu comes from kdelibs and does not provide any API to specify where to show the dialog AFAIK. What is the actual issue? If dialogs should appear near the mouse pointer for faster clicking, then this should be done for all dialogs, not a single specific dialog in Dolphin. Additionally, where can I get a 2560x2048 monitor (please!) Christoph is right. This isn't a Dolphin issue; if it's really wanted, we should implement it everywhere. But I'm not sure we want to do that. Having dialogs open in the center seems both logical and expected. If the window is maximized, the dialog box will appear right in the center, where your eyeballs are most likely to be looking. Also, since the main window darkens with a utility dialog appears, it' even easier to see where it is. |
