(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: 1.2 (KDE 2.1 pre-Beta2) Severity: wishlist I have a following wishlist: Default Encoding per Message Folder. For example I have English-speaking Mail List folder and want to use ISO-8859-1 or ISO-8859-15 encoding for it. From other side for the folder with mails in Russian I'd like to have CP1251 or KOI8-R Encoding as default (both for Message Preview and Compose Nerw meassage). I suggest that KMail should also use different Reply-To phrases in these two cases as most people probably will not understand Data and Time written in Russian (on top of message) I also think that it will be useful to have Set Encoding button on KMail toolbar. Actually it should be configurable that pressing on one Set Enc.1 button I get Encoding1 and pressing on Set Enc.2 button - I get Encoding2. -- Vadim Plessky http://kde2.newmail.ru (English) http://kde2.newmail.ru/index_rus.html (Russian) Do you have Arial font installed? Just test it! http://kde2.newmail.ru/font_test_arial.html I would love to see this option also. I receive mail in multiple languages, and mailing lists are almost always in a single language, yet some people have their email clients incorrectly set to send in charset=iso-8859-1 even though they are writing in a different language (Turkish, Russian Etc) which causes their email to appear broken when kmail is set to "Auto" encoding. If this could be overridden for individual folders it would be very usefull. (I filter each mailing list into a separate folder) This feature request is still valid for KMail 2 Reassigning to kmail2 |
