Description Brat Wizard 2009-03-10 12:19:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Its not really a "bug" in the sense that it crashes anything, but its a little annoying. The issue is that whenever I'm editing a file (let's say I'm editing a script in vim) and then go to run it with something like ':!./myprog | less', the first line of the output is always shifted about 20-30 characters toward the right.

It didn't used to do this.

The problem is when you're viewing output that's aligned in columns, the first line is always shifted to the right.

One way to get around it of course for simple stuff is to prepend the first output of the program with a newline, or just live with it-- and its a minor thing on the grand scale of things, I admit ;)

But it would be nice if it could get fixed at some point. -- THANKS!

Yea, I'm not sure why; the extra spaces doesn't appear to be same length as the prompt.

Works in xterm

Seems fixed in recent version. Can't reproduce it in konsole-2.7.999
