Sentry Crash Report:

Description Arne Schmitz 2009-03-09 15:10:23 UTC
Version: 1.11.1 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 103", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.19-3.2-pae

What I did:

I use KDE's session management to restore the programs that I left running during a session, when I log onto KDE. I always leave Kontact running, since I use it for email, address book and much more.

What I expected:

I expect Kontact to open upon login and present me with either the Overview or the last component I used.

What happened:

Kontact is loaded, but does not show any of the components, but instead a Kontact-overview-screen (like Konqueror's about page). Also Kmail is opened, but detached from Kontact. If I close Kmail and click on the Kmail icon in Kontact's toolbar, it is started again, this time embedded into Kontact.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
