Description Muhammad Shakir Aziz 2009-03-08 05:37:58 UTC
Version: 1.5 (using KDE 4.1.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified

Since version 1.5 or from last 2 releases of Ubuntu I am unable to index my *.rm audio files in music library collection. Amarok 1.* and now 2.* uses taglib to index these files and I always get taglib error for these .rm files. Same is the case with Banshee as it also uses taglib to index files. I got these error on Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and OpenSuse 10.3 and 11. The music players play these files if opened manually but they do not index them. So any ideas? The same problem was once with version 1.4 but it was corrected then but now long ago this thing irritates every time when i use linux.

Hi Muhammad -- TagLib doesn't support RealMedia files at all, so I'm switching this from a bug to a feature request.

Upstream bugs should go to

https://github.com/taglib/taglib/issues

If your issue still happens with a recent release, please report it there, sorry that we did not inform you earlier about this change, seems it was forgotten to close this component for bugs here.
