Really nice, reminds me of the early Longhorn days, but I don‘t see how this could be an improvement, except for being confusing, especially if there‘s a lot of folders inside.

Well it is meant to give the user a different view of her files. I think this is a very intuitive display method.

Try out http://www.thebrain.com/ and see what I mean.
