I see a potential problem here: If this was implemented, one could not create folders with ';' in the Name any more... Yes I have thought of this too and that is why I wrote "semi colon or other separator". For instance a double, triple or quadruple semi kolon could also work. Besides the problem could be solved by escaping characters the way we do on the console with a backslash. I like this idea, I've had to do this before too, and it's annoying. But I think a better solution would be to build it into the create new file dialog. I was thinking maybe have a little plus arrow button to the right or something, then you click it, and another line edit spawns. Or perhaps it would be better for instead of another one spawning, that it would create the one you just typed it, but clear the text so you can type in another one. I agree with the second part of your proposal Shaunt his could be just as fast, and it is more user friendly for new users. So the way I see it is; Clicking the pluss icon on the end of create new dialog just lets you type in folder or file name and press enter. Each time a new file or folder will be created. Repeat until all folders have been created. Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
