File menu on Google with KHTML rendering

Description Angel Blue01 2009-03-06 18:55:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The File menu in Konqueror in 4.2.0 displays different options depending on whether the KHTML rendering engine is used or Webkit.

Specifically, the Save options are all missing. I have configured Konqueror to use Webkit by default, which means I have to remember to switch the rendering engine to KHTML, which reloads the page, in order to save.

To reproduce:
1. Assuming Webkit is installed, go to a Web page and open the File menu. Note that the Save As, Save Frame As and Save Background Image As options are all present.
2. Go to View, View Mode, Webkit to switch to Webkit. The page reloads.
3. Go back to the File menu. Note the above menu entries are all missing.

Please do not file such reports under 'konqueror'.

Moving old kdewebkit bug reports to kdelibs/kdewebkit. Sorry about the noise
