When the QuickLauncher plasmoid is placed in a vertical plasma panel, it tried to use all available vertical space, resulting in a HUGE plasmoid which takes up the entire panel. It does not even respect the available horizontal space in the panel, truncating the huge application icons it tries to display.

I didn't understand how is this bug duplicate of bug 170588. The QuickLauncher plasmoid is defective, it grows beyond the horizontal space available in a vertical panel, resulting in truncated huge icons.
