Version:           1.11.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) "release 102", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.19-3.2-default

I tried it with two different e-mail accounts on different domains.
But everytime I setup an imap account (one is gmail the other was on a strato server) kamil downloads all messages also if the setup account is not an offline imap account.

in the working popup in the lower right corner i can see that he also wants to upload all messages again after downlaoding them!

I did not set up an anti spam filter that could describe the action.

The Netbook the kde4 is working on is nearly unusable during the downlaod time and i also tried to let him do for some hours - that also did not help!

kmail is unusable within this bug - or what do you think?

Yes, I agree, it is unusable within this bug. That has been reported more times...
