Description Alvise 2009-02-28 22:10:55 UTC
Version: 1.11.0 (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Taking an attachment from a mail, in kmail, and saving it in a local dir (via drag and drop or via context menu) will result in the following permissions:
-r--------

Is there a possibilty to assign by default rw permissions for the user?

This small problem is a blocker for people used to windows.
I remember this problem existed already with opensuse 10.3 and kde3

Confirmed in 4.2.0 opensuse 11.1.
Drag and drop to dolphin saves the file as -r------, drag and drop to konsole leads to a tmp file with -r------- permissions.
But saving the attachment with save as saves it with -rw------.

Merging with 171800. using the context menu gives correct permissions to the file. Only drag & drop looks bugged now.
