Version:           1.11.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-12-generic

I had 6 new messages, and the message list showed six empty lines with no text inside. Tooltips were correct and kmail functioned well.

Actually the reason is different. My kmail changed all the columns' sizes from the message list and hided the text. Sorry for this
