Description Ignacio Serantes 2009-02-25 17:28:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

You can't send certain files to trash but you can delete it.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1) Open konqueror.
2) Create new file an use as name "esto si que es molón.txt".
3) Try to send to trash with Konqueror or Dolphin and both says "The file or folder /.../esto si que es molón.txt does not exists".
4) Try to delete and it works.

If the file name is "esto si que es molon.txt" you can send the file to trash. The difference is in "molón" y "molon" ("ó" vs. "o").

Take note that you can rename the file without problems.

Fails again with all not ascii characters. Tested for spanish, japanese and korean characters.

Are you using Qt 4.5? If so, this is a duplicate of #184496.
