Sentry Crash Report:

Description Peter Faric 2009-02-24 18:36:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Compiler: gcc-4.3.2-7.i386
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Problem:
--------
Using GDM or KDM and logging in to KDE (4.2.0-6.fc10.i386) while docked to docking station system goes to "Suspend to RAM" issuing a message of "Laptop lid closed.... suspending"

How to reproduce:
-----------------
1.) Have your laptop docked to docking station and lid closed
2.) Login through GDM or KDM
3.) When desktop loads the system suspends to RAM

Expected behaviour:
-------------------
Should not suspend system on login. KDE should check the acpi state of the lid switch and should not issue a suspend unless the acpi switch for the lid has changed while logged in to KDE.

Will, probably something which could be solved with your new docking station stuff?
