Description Marc Benstein 2009-02-24 18:25:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

This was originally posted downstream here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/477952

Basically, unlike KDE 3.5's konsole (or any other tabbing console), the konsole
in KDE 4.X (4.2 tested, up-to-date as of today from the above repo), re-runs
the "-e" command with each new tab. What's worse, if that command exits the
konsole then behaves strangely. It should not do either of these things.

How to reproduce:

Make a new "link to application".
The command (application tab) should be ssh localhost (for example).
Under Advanced Options (Application tab again), click "run in terminal".

If you then run this application (click it), it will try to ssh localhost as
expected.

Now, try to make a new tab. The new tab *also* tries to ssh localhost.
If you are using KDE 3.5 at the time it will NOT but KDE 4.2 *will*.
