when you have a (cups) printer with instances (forks of a printer with different default settings), these instances are not recognisable in the printing dialog.

I have:

# lpstat -a
...

Officejet_7300/2up akzeptiert Anfragen seit Mo 02 Feb 2009 16:03:46 CET

but in the KDE4 printing dialog I just see 4 printers called "Officejet_7300" - quite confising. All have the same settings, none of the 4 printers has for example the 2up feature enabled.
