Hi,
The quick search box doesn't have filters like search based on senders/recepients/subject etc and it lists all the mails having the searched keyword anywhere in them.

The flip side of the Full Search options is a new window is opened for searching and double-clicking on a searched mail, opens it in the Message window, but it doesn't switch the focus automatically, leaving the user confused as to why is the mail not opened (is this a bug?).

If we have some common searched fields listed as options to the right side of quick search box, we can see the searched messages in the Message window itself, which makes it really easy for the user (again this is available in both Evolution/Thunderbird - which makes the search very easy)

Or the quick search box can be made to support advanced search options provided in gmail search like from: to: subject: etc.

Thanks a lot...

One more disadvantage of using Full Search is that there is no option to delete the searched messages (not delete option in context menu as well as delete button doesn't work) !!! Again not sure whether this is a bug or not
