This has happened since 4.0 so I am not sure if it is intended behaviour or not.

If you click the splash screen while it is loading, it disappears.  This leaves the user with a default plasma desktop and it is not clear if everything is still loading (it is).

Yes, that is a feature.

That's not a very good feature...

Why is this feature not extended to other KDE features?  If I click on the desktop it should also disappear?
