Description alex 2009-02-20 19:34:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: I Don't Know

I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug, or expected behaviour (though it isn't for me), however when clicking on a link from an external application (say, Quassel or KMail) the web browser currently open will appear on the current desktop.

Imo, it shouldn't do this - the browser should stay on which ever desktop it is on.

For example, I have 4 desktops (1 row) which have: Desktop1: Firefox, Desktop2: Kate, Desktop 3: IRC+Kopete, Desktop 4: Konsole. This keeps things nice and organised, however when clicking on a link in IRC or Kopete, it then breaks that by bringing Firefox into Desktop 3 - meaning I have to move it back to Desktop 1.

I can't reproduce the descibed behaviror in KDE-4.7.1. Maybe it was fixed sometime ago.
