Description Artem S. Tashkinov 2009-02-20 19:33:06 UTC
Version: 4.2.0 (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Please, make it possible, I have a 5MB history file with thousands of entries and I don't want to lose my history.

This was a shock to me when I first started using Konqueror in 4.x, and not that 4.2 is considered stable enough for most users, it'd be good to make the transition easy. Importing Konqeror history is definitly a step in that direction.

Should I close this bug report since no one seems to be interested in solving it? I believe it's very easy to solve.

And please don't ask to send you patches, I'm not a programmer.

Checking the code (4.7 trunk) I found the comment:
"// We can't read v3 history anymore, because operator<<(KURL) disappeared."

I do not see any chance of having this implemented, as KDE 4 is already on the market for some years and therefore the need for this feature is getting less and less.
