Sentry Crash Report:

Description Amal Abdul Majeed 2009-02-19 14:40:52 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Steps to Reproduce

1) Open systemsettings from konsole
2) Click on Multimedia --> Music --> HDA Intel ( ALC888 Analog )
3) Click on "test"

systemsettings crashes after that. The error on konsole is

==========================================================================
amal@amal-desktop:~$ systemsettings(9735) DevicePreference::availableAudioCaptureDevices: (-4, -5, -6, -7, -8)
systemsettings(9735) Phonon::Xine::AudioPort::AudioPort: ----------------------------------------------- audio_port created

KCrash: Application 'systemsettings' crashing...

PS: I checked the setting, because the same error happens everytime, I logout from kde( knotify crashes when trying to playback logout sound ). Even the login sound never works. At the same time, mp3 playback, and other sounds work perfect.

Amarok 2 was not working, and I get the same error. So, I reverted back to Amarok 1.4 and music works perfect on it.

Reassigning to Phonon

If you can reproduce the crash at will (or you experience this regularly) on a recent KDE, can you install the "phonon-dbg" package and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks
